There is an unprecedented clamour over the passage of Kerry-Lugar aid bill to Pakistan. .Want to know why? First time in the history of Pakistan US aid was being handed over to a democratic government and its sole purpose was to be spent over the poor public, for their schools, health and job creation.
-How dare! public cannot be empowered and will not be empowered , all the money must be channelized through the khaki hands otherwise “my way or highway…”.
Bahadar,
Don’t take this in traditional Pakistani politics and army and polition game. This Kerry-Lugar aid bill will put already weak Pakistan in more trouble. I am sure you have listen from someone in Islamabad in addition to papers that how USA’s private agencies are spreading and establishing network by hiring retired Foji all over country.
“its sole purpose was to be spent over the poor public, for their schools, health and job creation”. Do you really think USA will tell background/hidden agenda in bill?

Dear Friend,
So you are suggesting that this aid-bill was going to be utilized by the US agencies in hiring their private security focres in Pakistan? Man, how many people can they hire and sustain? 2000, 10,000, how many? We have almost 1 Miliion strong Army and paramilitary forces. Also what do you think they want to acheive my enacting their private military there? No please ..spare the conspiracy theories..please. Public is very poor there..if something could go there, let it go..don’t hinder it. In 60 years of our history US aid was always spent on purchasing military hardware or aircrafts or establishing Fauji Cement or Fauji Foundation..first time somebody in US thought about Pakistani public…please don’t strengthen the hands of those who already squashed the interests of public…No more.
Thanks for your comments, anyways.
